his is an 8 GIG SD card that is rated at class 10 speed or basically 10 Mb/s with a built in WIFI hotspot. In the box you will find the SD memory card and an instruction manual. I have put together a video of the product and of how to set it up. I found the manual to be incomplete as it did not clearly tell the names of the Apple and Android apps for your smart devices. The apps you should download are:
* ez Share for Android
* ez Share Wi-Fi SD is the Apple App name. There is one for the iPhone and a HD version for the iPad.
Make sure that you download the app to your smart device before you sign onto the WIFI of the SD card with your smart device as you will not be able to go to the internet while you are signed onto the card WIFI. Another key to operating this WIFI SD card properly is to make sure that you log onto the SD WIFI network which has an SSID of ez Share and its access password is 88888888. After logging onto this network and then turning on the app transferring photographs is fast and easy.
The SD card was the exact size as a normal SD card and it fit into my camera quickly and easily. There is no switch to lock the card so the data on it cannot be erased (Like on a normal SD card) but there is a switch that allows you to share or not share data on the WIFI. This turns off the WIFI and conserves the battery of your camera. With the share switch turned on you can call up the memory card with your smart device like a phone or a tablet and transfer the photographs to your device wirelessly. The transfer is very fast and easy. You can then post them to multiple social networks if you so desire. You can transfer both photos and videos from your camera using this card.
You can also set up a push mode in the app that tells the card to automatically push the photographs to your smart device as you take the photos. Remember to not plug the card into your camera or to move the share switch when the camera power is on. I have included detailed instructions on how to connect to the network and how to use and set up the app in my video. I actually found the manual poor as it did not provide the name of the apps for Apple and Android products and I could only find them by logging onto a Chinese web site and following photographs and switching the language to English on the web site.
Using the App on your smart device you can change the Card’s WIFI SSID, change the password and even change the admin password that allows access to the settings of your card. This makes the access to your photos and videos more secure. Should you make any changes please write down the new data so you will not forget it. If you are in an area with poor WIFI reception, because too many people are using the same WIFI channel, you can even change the WIFI broadcast channel and find one that is less used and provide a better connection for your use. This setup area is also where you would turn on the auto push feature for sending data to your smart device automatically.
You no longer have to remove your SD card from your camera to download photos and videos. You can be walking around all day and automatically saving your valuable photography automatically. I rated this product as a 5 star item but the manual does need to be clarified.
